Comedy Greats Come Home to Harold Park

So I’m a massive comedy fan! There are a number of great places to go in Sydney, I’ll do a post on all of the options shortly! Here’s one for the timebeing that’s coming up v soon!

The comedic greats of a generation are once again converging on the hallowed halls of the Harold Park Hotel to host a preview of their Sydney Comedy Festival shows from Thursday 01 March – Friday 09 March, 2012 starting at 8pm.

Featuring the stellar talents of Fiona O’Loughlin, Jeff Green, Greg Fleet and Joel Creasey, over six nights the comic greats will give audiences a sneak-peek into their hilarious shows featuring in the Sydney Comedy Festival this April.

Appropriately named “The Divine Miss O”, Fiona O’Loughlin will be taking a break in her filming duties for the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice to give audiences a preview of her new show from 07 – 09 March, which takes inspiration from Bette Midler and Cher, on the back of a sell out year in 2011.

From 01 – 03 March, Jeff Green will be causing stiches with his kaleidoscope of jokes and piercing insights, debuting “Father of Men”. Witty, fast delivery accompanies a discussion about the arresting bonds of family and life.

Widely touted as “devilish, menacing and totally mesmerizing” (The Scotsman), from 01 – 03 March Greg Fleet is returning with his new show, “Heroes”. This new chapter in his comedy life reaffirms his abrupt and sometimes full on comedic style.

Audiences are also treated with Joel Creasey’s new show “Naked” which conquers Joel’s fears of nudity. Join the Best Newcomer (Melbourne Comedy Festival) and the rising star of comedy from 07 – 09 March as he gets naked and reveals all with “fast wit and a cheeky attitude” (The Pun)

Comedy is truly returning to its rightful home next week. The Harold Park Hotel was once a mecca for comedians, hosting the talents of Robin Williams, Steven K Amos and The Doug Anthony Allstars, and has been the birth place of Aussie talents such as Carl Barron and Peter Berner.

Comedy at the Harold Park Hotel, Cnr Wigram Rd and Ross St, Glebe, begins on Thursday 01 March 2012. For more information and tickets, head to www.facebook.com/morecomedy and http://www.trybooking.com/BFCC
