So here’s the update on day three of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia!
Lisa Ho kicked it all off with her flattering and luxurious collection. Not one to follow the trends, she understands the modern woman’s needs – from office life to glamorous nights on the town. Her collection had a floral feel with a lot of block colour, especially yellow. Even the models had vibrant streaks of colour in their hair to add to the jazzy look. The office will never be the same again!
Later on Oroton showcased its first ready-to-wear collection, designed by Ana Maria Escobar, the woman behind the brand’s evolution, moving from handbags, what it’s best known for, into clothing. There were simple and innovative garments that were also fun and the accessories added a confident look with a touch of heritage flavor. Very chic!
Following Oroton was Marianna Hardwick’s collection and it was absolutely jam packed with guests fighting to get the first glimpses of her new lacy and elegant range placed in front of a video backdrop. Inspired by elements of the Aussie landscape, the range depicts relaxed silhouettes with intricate detail.
Sydney Social 101 was also lucky enough to be invited to the Shangri La to have a sneaky peek of the NOSNIM WINSON collection by Winson Tan. His show is on Friday but we can reveal now that it definitely has the wow factor! Collaborating with print artist Vivian Lee he’s based his design on exotic plants. The flattering nature inspired collection even has shoes to match with lightening bolt heels! We are in love!
SydneySocial101 was lucky enough to see the Kooey and An Ode to No One hit the catwalk, and not forgetting the official Men’s Show After Party at TheLoft!
Here’s the videos of the shows from Kooey and An Ode to No One:
