Suboo kicked off day five this morning 47 levels above the city at Summit Restaurant and made us crave summer! Bright prints, abstract shapes, form fitting maxi dresses and sleek jumpsuits flowed down the catwalk. Shouting hints of mint green, pale pink, cream and black. One tangerine cutwork lace dress stole our hearts. The front row included Nikki Phillips, Kate Waterhouse and Jesinta Campell.
Raffles international designer showcase group show took over The Tent this morning four refreshing looks hit the runway. Ayaka Ichikawa, Crystal Tsoi, Gabriel Lee and Winson Tan (who we met yesterday).
Bless’ed are the Meek collaborated with Laser Vision for their collection show and featured a 3D holograph show. This was the show of the day the creativity behind this masterpiece was unreal. Black lace, purple maxis, baby blue pants and baby pink crop tops hit the runway.
New Generation 2 took on the afternoon seven emerging designers showcased their new collections. Here is Lisa’s favourite looks from each New Generation designer:
Next stop we went to check out four renowned Hong Kong fashion designers showcase their Spring Summer 2012/2012 collection to kick off Hong Kong summer. Hong Kong is one of Sydney Social 101’s fave destinations, so we were very excited to see what unfolded!
This showcase was everything to rocking menswear to delicate lingerie; designers included Chailie Ho, DoDo Leung, Harrison Wong and Hei Lau.

SydneySocial101 took a break from running around Circular key and headed up to the Shangri-la to take peek at a few new accessory lines. After all, it’s all well and good having to outfit, but to complete the look you gotta’ have accessories!
We first stopped in to take a look at the Melbourne based jewellery line of Edenborough Evans. These cutting edge designs are the perfect way to jazz up a Friday night outfit in Surry Hills.
New to the Sydney jewellery scene DERI showed us their sharp, clean and bold looks. DERI gets its beachy fresh edge being based in Bondi. Come summer these pieces will be all over Sydney.Well here we on the Monday after the week that was Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia!
What would Sydney Fashion week be without ROC eyewear? We were able to get a sneak peek at the “Tough Love” Spring /Summer 2012 collection. Trust me it’s better than ever, plus we go a sneak peak of the the new never seen campaign ad featuring Laura Bingle!
This iconic week has come to an end and it makes us count the days till summer!
