This week Sydney Social was invited to a Sweater Exchange launch at Martin Place’s latest pop-up store, Banjo+Matilda. The Sweater Exchange is the initiative of Belynda Macpherson of Banjo+Matilda to benefit those less fortunate this winter.
Luxe knitwear label Banjo & Matilda was launched in 2008 from their design studio in Bondi Beach Australia, but you can check out their CBD pop-up shop on level 7 at the MLC building in Martin Place.
Attendees were encouraged to join Mirdan Kerr, Gwyneth Paltrow and other celebrities in donating sweaters to support Mission Australia and the work they do in the community. Donations are still be accepted online at Banjo+Matilda—including a complimentary $50 voucher for your donation.
Sydney Social 101’s contributor Betsy Oyler attended and reported on the event.
