Bondi Hardware, local favourite bar and restaurant, has launched a new weekend brunch menu from 10am – 2pm every Saturday and Sunday. In line with the Bondi culture of late indulgent breakfasts on weekends, and with the ability to book a reservation, a rarity in the busy Bondi café scene, it means consumers don’t have to wait or queue to get a table. The full menu also runs at the same time so customers can still get their slider fix if that’s their craving!
Dishes include Ricotta pancakes with either vanilla, honey, mixed berries, mascarpone and maple syrup or crispy bacon and maple syrup. For the meat lovers there’s House Ruben – toasted sour dough, pastrami, sauerkraut, horseradish, Swiss cheese, garlic aioli and sliced pickles, and if you’re more of a veggie then the quesadilla is for you – tortilla with refried beans, eggplant, zucchini, mozzarella, fried eggs, guacamole and salsa. For a classic home style favourite there’s the D.I.Y – Poached eggs and house made baked beans on toast. The food is not the only draw card, with the infamous Bloody Hardware created to perfectly compliment the menu. With chilli infused vodka, house made black juice of beetroot, tomatoes, red chilli, lemon, orange, horseradish and chipotle Tabasco it’s a spicy crowd pleaser!
Named after its original occupant of 30 years, a cluttered Hardware store, Bondi Hardware pays homage to its heritage, with the interior painstakingly transformed utilising exposed brickwork, beams, high gabled ceilings and recycled timber. This winter cosy up at Bondi’s craftiest bar and restaurant, where the warm and welcoming ambiance, mouthwatering food and delicious beverages combine to create a uniquely Bondi dining experience.
