The inaugural FLUID FESTIVAL will showcase a selection of the finest beers, wines and ciders from an array of Australian producers at North Ryde’s The Ranch Hotel on Saturday 9th November 2013.
Attendees can purchase tokens and sample beverages from stallholders such as Tasmania’s Moo Brew, Victoria’s Mountain Goat Beer, South Australia’s Dr Pilkington’s Miracle Cider, the Hunter Valley’s Mistletoe Wines and one of Melbourne’s newest microbreweries, Cavalier.
Sampling their impressive selection of award-winning beers at the event will be Western Australia’s Feral Brewing Company. For the last two consecutive years, their renowned American style India Pale Ale, Hop Hog, has taken out the top spot in the expert’s guide, The Critics’ Choice: Australia’s Best Beers.
The event will also feature a series of ‘Meet The Brewer’ master classes where some of the country’s leading beer and cider makers will provide an insight into the industry and share their tips in 15-minute intimate sessions. Master classes include ‘Introduction to Craft Beer’ with the editor of The Critics’ Choice: Australia’s Best Beers, Peter Mitcham; ‘Brewer Sessions’ with Dave Padden from Riverside Brewing and Andy Stewart from Endeavour Beer; and ‘Cider Sessions’ with Neal Cameron from Australian Brewing and Rich Coombes from Batlow Cider.
Guests of Fluid Festival can also enjoy a delicious selection of paired food from The Ranch Hotel’s Modern Australian bistro, live music from Sydney-based acoustic singer Dave White and children’s entertainment including a jumping castle, face painting and magician.
