APEROL SPRITZ SUNSET SESSIONS KICK OFF AT THE NEWLY RENOVATED BEACH CLUB AT WATSONS BAY BOUTIQUE HOTEL

This summer Aperol takes Sunday sessions to a whole new level at the Beach Club at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel – Sydney’s hottest harbourside venue that combines aesthetics of contemporary coastal with harbourside luxe following recent  multi-million dollar renovations. There is no better place to sit back and watch the sunset over the sparkling Sydney harbor with an Aperol Spritz in hand.

Kicking off on December 15th and continuing every Sunday until March 30th, the Aperol Spritz Sunset Sessions will be the place to be this summer. With some of Sydney’s coolest DJ’s on deck including Alice Quiddington, Andrew Mathers, Richie Carter & Murray Lake, the Aperol Spritz Sunset sessions are sure to impress with some of Sydney’s finest.

Bar staff will be wheeling drink trolleys around serving $10.00 Aperol Spritz cocktails setting the perfect scene for guests to unwind, cool down and watch the sun set over Sydney Harbour.

The sessions will introduce the beginning of summer by hosting a VIP Launch party on December 15th, with canapés and drinks served throughout the afternoon. Guests will be treated to a DJ set by the talented Alice Quiddington, whilst sipping on this season’s must-have cult drink, Aperol Spritz.

Take the party to the next level – guests can enter to WIN a trip of a lifetime to Italy and the home of Aperol, via social media competitions. The prize includes: 2 x economy airfares and airport transfers, 5 nights’ accommodation, a personalised visit to the famous Aperol Bar and $2,000 spending money.  What better way to end your summer than celebrating the beginning of the European summer in the home of Aperol.

The Perfect Serve

Making Aperol Spritz is as easy as 3, 2, 1 – just get a tumbler or a large balloon glass and follow the simple instructions:

Add ice in the glass then pour in the Prosecco, the Aperol and add a splash of soda, top with a slice of orange. This serving avoids the Aperol settling at the bottom.

  • Ice
  • 3 parts of Cinzano Prosecco
  • 2 parts of Aperol
  • 1 splash of soda
  • A slice of orange
  • Also called “Spritz Veneziano” in an official cocktail of the IBA (International Bartending Association). IBA cocktails are prepared all over the world according to this original recipe.
