The skin clinic successfully revealed its stylish and elegant interior to guests, who thoroughly enjoyed being educated on the treatments and product information whilst mingling amongst the vibrant atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the Champagne, Rekorderlig Cider and a delicious selection of Miss Chu canapés that were on offer. The talented and suave saxophone player also added a fun atmosphere to the already lively event, playing popular tunes to accompany a back beat.
“It was extremely encouraging to receive some great support from our clients, partners and the broader community in helping us celebrate the unveiling of Luminiere as a brand and our Double Bay clinic”. Managing Director of LUMINIERE, Cameron Fancourt
LUMINIERE is the ultimate skin clinic destination, as proven last night at the opening launch event. Double Bay is the perfect home for the LUMINIERE clinic, where guests can relax and enjoy each and every top-quality treatment and leave feeling rejuvenated and revitalized.
LUMINIERE is situated right in the midst of Double Bay, with easy access via two entrances – 2A Cross Street and 412 New South Head Road. A car park is located behind the building giving patients easy access to the clinic.
The ground floor of the clinic showcased the extensive range of innovative products stocked at LUMINIERE, consisting of the fundamental elements designed to correct and protect healthy skin, including Gatineau, PRIORI, Aspect and SkinCeuticals. These products are now available to purchase from the clinic.
It’s a popular dining experience for both guests and locals, and last night The Grace Hotel launched its Seafood Buffet!
Set in the Brassiere on the second floor, there was a variety of treats such as prawns, sea bass, oysters and other mouth-watering fish selections to choose from.
The buffet is available Tuesdays – Saturdays each week from February until July 27, and is priced at $45 per person.
And if you don’t fancy seafood then there is pork, potatoes, chicken as well as the usual menu still available.
Excitingly, Sydney Social was invited along to sample all the goodies on offer. Each section is split into starters, main and there was even a sweet stand with many delicious cakes on display.
The hotel, on Pitt Street, is set right in the heart of the city centre – so it’s an ideal spot for business meetings, family dinners or even a romantic meal for two!
Sydney’s Social’s reporter Jennifer Fletcher was guest blogging for the opening night.
On Wednesday 29th August, Sydney Social 101 was invited to attend Double Bay’s first small bar and restaurant, Mrs Sippy’s first birthday celebration. Wow, do these guys know how to put on an event! To celebrate its first year in the limelight, the local hot spot opened its doors to a select crowd (which Sydney Social 101 was very privileged to be a part of) and threw a house party last night that would have left many of Sydney’s social set with a sore head Thursday morning – myself included, ouchy!
The evening was celebrated by co-owners Benjamin May, siblings Andrew and Kate Stanway, and Angus Abrahams as a ‘thank-you’ to all their friends, locals, and regulars who have supported the venue throughout the year. ”We’ve had the pleasure of hosting functions for some iconic brands, but never had the time to throw our own; we thought we’d celebrate one successful year by putting on a party everyone would remember!”
And that they did! A glamorous crowd joined in on the festivities which included newlyweds Kate Waterhouse and Luke Ricketson, the Stenmark twins Jordan and Zach, Pip Edwards and Adam Ashley-Cooper, Terry Biviano and Anthony Minichiello, Gretal Packer, Daimon Downey, Maude Garrett, Zoe Balbi, Josh Flinn, David Whitehill, Tom Steinfort, Alison Piotrowski and teen heart throb Johnny Ruffo.
We were welcomed to the quirky venue with a glass of Veuve and their signature drink, the Mrs Sippy Martini (YUM!). The Chandon was flowing and the tunes were pumping to the wee hours thanks to resident DJ Miss Annie. A variety of canapés such as roasted pumpkin tart with goats cheese, oysters, wagyu beef sliders, lemon pepper prawn, and a selection of gourmet wood fired pizzas went down a treat. And for the sweet tooth, guests enjoyed the Gelatisimo ice-cream.
The entire venue was jumping, with upstairs being transformed into the Vodka Lounge with Belvedere and SKYY mixes to go. The crew unveiled “Star Trucker” a mobile food and drinks caravan. When was the last time you saw a caravan parked in Double Bay?
Mrs Sippy confidently sits in the leafy streets of Double Bay. By day she’s relaxed and inviting, reading the paper, catching up on the gossip, sipping lattes and watching the world go by. By night Mrs Sippy enjoys dinner with her friends and then unwinds to delicious house tunes, celebrating the week with a cocktail or a glass of wine. A favourite among locals, Mrs Sippy is one of the hot spots of the Eastern Suburbs – a place to eat, drink, play, ENJOY!
