No date? Don’t worry! The Bucket List is teaming up with Tinder to host a Valentines Day party on Friday 14th of February. Patrons will receive a complementary glass of champagne on arrival when they present their Tinder App at the Door, and $10 ‘It’s a Match’ cocktails will be available all night.
For those of you who have been living under a rock (or are in a relationship). Tinder is a location-based dating app which highlights fellow singles in your area. The Bucket List will become
Tinder destination, with a push notification prompting users to head to the Bondi, beachside venue.
Last Friday Flickerfest Opening night was held at the Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Beach. A balmy night and the beachside amphitheatre proved the perfect setting for guests to be treated to a selection of short films. Talk of David Michôd and the much anticipated release of his latest film The Rover which stars Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce also filled the room. At the after party, guests enjoyed a selection of Crystal head Vodka cocktails, Phoenix Organic Juices, Rosnay Organic Wines and Little Creatures beer.
GUESTS: Luke Hines (trainer Luke), Matilda Brown, Rachel Ward, David Michôd (Director – Animal Kingdom, The Rover), Mirrah Foulkes (actor), Michael Cody (Producer), Jeff Lack (stylist), Dr Nikki Goldstein, Alyssa McLelland (actor) and her partner Adrian Mazzaferro, Bronwyn Kidd (Flickerfest festival director) and Gillian Armstrong (Director – Little Women, Oscar and Lucinda).
Bondi Beach is the ultimate landmark of Australia, defining the east coast as a beautiful haven for locals and tourists alike in the heart of Australia (in my humble opinion): Sydney.
But to truly appreciate Bondi, you need to go on a beautiful spring morning before the crowds hit for summer. And that’s where I found myself last weekend; despite a slight chill in the air, the sun was shining and the clear, crisp coastal atmosphere was a welcome distraction from my inner city living.
I drove the 15 minutes from my flat in Potts Point to the beach, and I couldn’t help smiling as the beautiful ocean view drew closer as I cruised down Bondi Road. I rarely travel outside my suburb at weekends (I’m a city girl at heart), but every time I go to Bondi on a beautiful day I promise myself I’ll be a more regular visitor.
Despite parking being a nightmare, I finally managed to find a space and shell out the $10 for a two hour privilege. I strolled over the pavilion with a spring in my step knowing I was in for a treat.
I arrived at The Bucket List hoping it wasn’t too busy (I’ve experienced that many a time and it’s one of the reasons I usually stay in the city). Luckily for me, it was unusually quiet and myself and my +1 were seated in a prime position gazing out over the beach (and in prime position to perv on the hot surfers).
We ordered brunch and chowed down. As we ate, our minds were preoccupied with the sheer beauty of the city we are lucky enough to live in. We both mentioned this fact a number of times, but without looking at each other – our eyes were fixed on the sea (and the lifeguards).
If you’re looking for a beautiful setting for food and drinks with friends, you can’t go wrong with The Bucket List. It’s a real beaut of a venue and whether you’re having breakfast or kicking off a Sunday session, it’s a great place to relax and have fun with friends.
I have great memories of this place – why not check it out for yourselves and make some great memories too.

The sister restaurant to the highly acclaimed flagship, A Tavola Darlinghurst, is part of a recent development in the new Adina Complex on Bondi’s Hall Street. Along with a number of other high-profile tenants, the new A Tavola is part of an exciting rejuvenation of Bondi’s dining scene and marks a significant milestone for chef and owner, Eugenio Maiale.
A Tavola Bondi is headed by chef Eugenio’s right-hand man, Luke Randall, who has been with the restaurant since 2009. After working under Jamie Oliver, Luke has since honed his culinary skills in the A Tavola kitchen, and will now implement A Tavola’s philosophy of simple and humble Italian food in the Bondi restaurant.
In keeping with A Tavola’s namesake, literally meaning ‘to the table’, A Tavola Bondi includes the trademark communal 10-metre marble table at the heart of the restaurant.
Bondi also features the same rustic and honest classic dishes that Darlinghurst has become known for. Chef Eugenio’s food is best described as predominantly “abruzzese” (home to Eugenio’s family, north-east of Rome), made the way his mother taught him. Guests can expect to experience A Tavola’s signature flair with dried and fresh pasta, which is prepared daily with love and attention to detail on the long marble table. Reflecting its seaside location, Bondi also offers an added emphasis on beautiful seafood. The kitchen team will be incorporating diverse varieties of seafood into pasta dishes, mains and their Italian take on casual bar food.
A Tavola Bondi is located at Shop 2, 75-79 Hall Street Bondi NSW 2026. The restaurant can be contacted on 02 9130 1246 or email@example.com.
